2 DAYS CLASS ON ILLUSTRATION
FROM BLACK AND WHITE TECHNIQUES TO COLORS
November 23 and 24. 2019
This course will explore the visual interpretation of concepts through an emphasis on black and white drawing media.
Emphasis will be placed on techniques of Pen and Ink and graphite primarily. But we will use color washes and colored pencils for the final exercises.
Pigma pens (005, 01, 03)
Brush pens (Faber Castell, Pigma, or other brand)
Graphite Pencils (2B, F or HB)
Eraser (kneaded preferred)
Ball point pens - black, very fine to larger line sizes, preferably waterproof ink. (Cheap options like Bic pens are also fine)
A4 (or larger) white or toned drawing or sketching paper, preferably with a smooth surface.
A couple sheets of smooth heavy weight paper, or Bristol paper are also recommended.
Note: Gouache and Colored Pencils WILL BE PROVIDED for the final illustrations.
