Clay-mation Character Creation Workshop with Amy Alexander May 16 - 12 to 6 p.m. 34 €
This workshop is a beginner’s guide to making your own Clay-animation character and covers the basics of how to make a ‘Claymation’ animation. During the course we cover step by step how to make clay models for animation including how to build a clay model with an internal skeleton. These models can be anything ranging from a character to an abstract design of your own imagining. All styles of models can be incorporated into this workshop- abstract, realistic, cartoony, characters, shapes - the cute, the weird or the serious ( and anything in between ). We also cover the basics of how to begin animating your model, including how to construct a basic ‘black box’ and the best way to photograph and light your ‘scene’. This course is designed for anyone of any level of ability interested in animation and modelling. The focus is on how to make and create – so you can bring any ideas you have to life in an interesting sequence.
