2 hours class on human proportions
DRAWING AT THE PLASTER COLLECTION in Charlottenburg
March 15. 2020
2.30 to 4.30 p.m.
18 €
The plasticity of marble / plaster sculptures helps the student to see the volume and masses easily. The grace of postures, the carved details like beards and hair, the volume of the muscles and the beauty of faces will offer a great opportunity to train skills and learn the human body.
After a short introduction to the canons of classical Greek and Roman proportions, we will draw from beautiful reproductions of their statues.
I will be going around to help giving suggestions and feedback, helping the student to get the right proportions, muscles and shading.
Also beautiful drapery could be drawn - very useful to understand volumes and shading.
The collection is in Charlottenburg, just in front of the castle.
